What inspired you to join Full Speed Performance, and what do you bring to the team?
I’ve been with Full Speed Performance since the beginning. It started with a passion for helping junior soccer players reduce their injury risk through proper warm-ups and strength work. Since then, FSP has grown into something special. I now bring over six years of coaching and rehab experience to help athletes of all ages perform better, recover faster and build long-term confidence.
Where did you study, and what qualifications or certifications do you hold?
I studied a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Master of Exercise Physiology at Deakin University. I’m an Accredited Exercise Scientist and hold an ASCA Level 1 Strength and Conditioning certification.
What areas do you specialise in, and how do you help athletes reach their goals?
I specialise in late-stage return-to-sport rehab and speed and power development. Whether it’s a field or individual sport, I focus on helping athletes move explosively and safely. I believe strong relationships are the key to long-term outcomes — when athletes feel supported, they stick to the plan.
What’s your approach to rehab and injury prevention?
I take a holistic approach — strength training, field-based sessions, sleep and nutrition all matter. Rehab isn’t just what you do in the clinic or gym — it’s a 24/7 process, and I try to guide athletes across all aspects of that.
How do you use data and technology like VALD to guide your treatments?
Our VALD testing battery helps identify each athlete’s strengths and deficits in areas like muscular strength, symmetry and power. I use that information to build individualised performance programs that actually address what the athlete needs, not just what’s on a template.
What do you wish more athletes understood about performance or recovery?
You can’t out-recover bad sleep. Ice baths and massage guns don’t mean much if you’re getting six hours a night. Quality sleep is one of the biggest performance drivers out there — and it’s free.
How do you stay up to date with the latest in physio and sports science?
I regularly attend industry events and have weekly discussions with our physiotherapy team, which gives me ongoing insight into clinical approaches and rehab planning. That cross-disciplinary exposure keeps me sharp.
What’s your favourite part of working with athletes?
It’s the relationships. I get to work with driven, motivated people every day, and over time, those athletes become friends. Being part of their progress is something I genuinely appreciate.
What makes Full Speed Performance different from other clinics or gyms?
We’ve built a collaborative environment — coaches and physios working together, not in silos. Every athlete gets a coordinated, high-level experience. I’m proud of the care we deliver and how well we communicate across disciplines.
What do you do outside of work?
You’ll usually find me at the beach or making coffee. Both are great ways to decompress and reset between sessions.
