What inspired you to join Full Speed Performance, and what do you bring to the team?
I joined Full Speed Performance to help athletes — from juniors to professionals — maximise their rehab and performance. FSP provides a unique training environment with the tools and support to make a real difference. With four years of coaching experience across private, school and sport settings, I bring a well-rounded understanding of strength and conditioning and how to apply it to real results.
Where did you study, and what qualifications or certifications do you hold?
I studied a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, majoring in Strength and Conditioning, at Deakin University.
What areas do you specialise in, and how do you help athletes reach their goals?
I specialise in Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD) and speed development across field, court and gym settings. I use performance testing to identify strengths and areas for improvement, then build individualised programs that target exactly what each athlete needs to progress in their sport.
What’s your approach to rehab and injury prevention?
It’s all about collaboration. I combine my S&C background with guidance from our leading physiotherapists and coaches to make sure every program is aligned. I also prioritise athlete education, particularly around recovery, sleep, nutrition and load management, which always come first.
How do you use data and technology like VALD to guide your treatments?
Using our VALD testing systems, I can track an athlete's strength, power and asymmetries across key physical qualities. This gives me a clear picture of where they are now, where they need to be, and how to get there safely and effectively.
What do you wish more athletes understood about performance or recovery?
That performance and recovery aren’t complicated — it’s about doing the basics well. Train hard, recover harder, and be consistent. Sleep and nutrition will always outperform ice baths and gadgets.
How do you stay up to date with the latest in physio and sports science?
I stay sharp by following platforms like Sportsmith and Science for Sport, diving into journals when something’s unfamiliar, and attending both in-person and online PD events. I also follow leading coaches and physios to stay across trends that matter.
What’s your favourite part of working with athletes?
Building strong relationships and seeing athletes hit their goals. Whether it's coming back from injury or putting in a match-winning performance, knowing I’ve played a small part in their journey is what keeps me driven.
What makes Full Speed Performance different from other clinics or gyms?
We genuinely put the athlete first. We get to know every individual — not just physically, but personally — and work hard to create a positive, motivating space where they feel supported and ready to perform.
What do you do outside of work?
I play footy and love anything outdoors — whether that’s riding my gravel bike, trail running, hiking or camping. It helps me stay active and balanced.
