What inspired you to join Full Speed Performance, and what do you bring to the team?

Dan’s passion for high-quality rehab and gold standard care stood out from day one. His vision for Full Speed Performance matched my own approach to injury management — structured, elite, and athlete-focused. I bring a clear understanding of what it takes to help athletes return to peak performance, and the steps needed to get them there.

Where did you study, and what qualifications or certifications do you hold?

I completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science at Deakin University, majoring in Exercise Physiology, followed by a Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University.

What areas do you specialise in, and how do you help athletes reach their goals?

I work with all types of injuries but have a particular interest in ACL rehab, hips, knees, ankles and spinal issues. My goal is always to assess the root problem and apply the right solution — whether it’s movement, load, or manual therapy. Rehab should be progressive and tailored, not templated.

What’s your approach to rehab and injury prevention?

It starts with a clear understanding of where the athlete is now and where they need to be. I map out each step between those two points and guide them through a structured progression, adjusting when needed but always working with purpose and intent.

How do you use data and technology like VALD to guide your treatments?

I use VALD systems to assess strength, power and plyometric performance. Then I compare that data against research-based targets — normalised for each athlete’s body type and training level — to make sure we’re aiming for the right goals at the right time.

What do you wish more athletes understood about performance or recovery?

That reaching your goals takes more sacrifice and consistency than most people realise. Rehab isn’t passive. The athletes who commit fully — even on the hard days — are the ones who get the best results.

How do you stay up to date with the latest in physio and sports science?

I enjoy learning through online masterclasses, expert lectures and practical workshops via platforms like Physio Network and Sports MAP. I’m always chasing new ideas that can improve outcomes for the athletes I work with.

What’s your favourite part of working with athletes?

Putting the smile back on their face. Whether it’s hitting a long-awaited milestone or returning to sport pain-free, seeing that moment of confidence return is what it’s all about.

What makes Full Speed Performance different from other clinics or gyms?

We’re obsessed with doing rehab properly. Nothing takes priority over helping an athlete recover fully. I also love the people I work with — we’re a tight team of professionals who push each other to improve every day, and we genuinely enjoy the process.

What do you do outside of work?

You’ll find me playing soccer, hanging out with my dog, or spending time with my partner. Outside the clinic, it’s all about keeping things simple and doing what I enjoy.
